WorthAStop

Support

WorthAStop shows you what is worth stopping for on the walk you are already taking.

What the app does

You set where you are and where you are going. WorthAStop draws the walk and marks the places along it that are worth a stop, with a short piece of writing about each one. It is a discovery tool, not a navigation app and not a safety service.

Cities download to your device, so the map and the spots keep working without a signal. One city is free (currently New Orleans). The rest are opened by a single one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Getting help

Email report@worthastop.app for anything: a wrong or missing spot, a purchase problem, a question, or a bug.

It is a small operation, so replies are not instant, but every message is read by a person.

Common questions

Something about a place is wrong.
Open the spot's card and scroll to the bottom. There is a report row that opens your mail app with the city, the place, and the version already filled in, so all you have to write is what is wrong. That saves a lot of back and forth. You can also just email us.
I paid, but the cities are locked.
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchases. The unlock is tied to the Apple account that bought it, so use the same one. If it still does not restore, email us.
Will I be charged twice?
No. The unlock is a one-time purchase, so buying it again is not possible. If the app has lost track of it, Restore purchases brings it back at no charge.
Do I have to share my location?
No. The app works if you set a starting point by hand. If you do allow location, it is used only while the app is open, only to place you on the map and find what is around you, and it stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once a city has finished downloading. The map and every spot in that city work with no signal. Downloading a new city needs a connection.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. There is no account and nothing is stored on our side, so removing the app removes everything: your settings, saved walks, passport stamps, and downloaded cities.
